AGCO has announced a significant reshuffle of its executive leadership, introducing a more streamlined management structure designed to strengthen accountability, simplify decision-making and align corporate functions more closely with brand performance. At the centre of the changes is the appointment of Stefan Caspari as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Fendt/Valtra & Product Management, effective October 5, 2026.
Previously serving as Senior Vice President, Customer Success & North America Ag, Caspari will retain responsibility for AGCO’s North American agricultural business while assuming global leadership of two of the group’s flagship machinery brands, Fendt and Valtra.
The restructuring also reduces the size of AGCO’s executive leadership team by one position, consolidating responsibilities under existing senior executives.
Torsten Dehner steps down from his current role
As part of the leadership consolidation, Torsten Dehner, previously Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Fendt/Valtra and Product Management, has stepped down from his position.Dehner will remain with AGCO, based in Switzerland, to support the leadership transition.
Commenting on the appointment, AGCO Chairman, President and CEO Eric Hansotia highlighted Caspari’s extensive commercial experience and his understanding of farmers, dealers and regional markets.
According to Hansotia, Caspari has played an important role in strengthening AGCO’s North American agricultural business, one of the group’s key markets. His commercial expertise, market knowledge and Farmer-First approach are expected to support the next phase of growth for Fendt and Valtra.
Hansotia also acknowledged Dehner’s contribution to the development of both brands, particularly in strengthening their organisations, building capabilities and supporting AGCO’s ongoing AI transformation.
Extensive experience across AGCO’s global operations
Caspari joined AGCO in 2014 and has since held several senior management positions covering commercial operations, global strategy, smart farming technologies and multi-brand governance.
Before taking responsibility for Customer Success and North America Ag, he led AGCO’s Grain & Protein business through its transformation and subsequent divestiture.
He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Bonn and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
His expanded responsibilities will now combine global oversight of Fendt and Valtra with product management and the North American agricultural business.
The appointment reflects AGCO’s intention to bring product strategy, commercial execution and regional market expertise under a more integrated leadership structure.

Expanded roles for Luis Felli and Damon Audia
The management reshuffle extends beyond Fendt and Valtra, with additional responsibilities assigned to two other senior executives.
Luis Felli has been appointed Senior Vice President and General Manager, Massey Ferguson, Parts & Customer Support. Alongside his leadership of Massey Ferguson, he will take responsibility for AGCO’s global aftersales and parts operations, as well as customer support.
Meanwhile, Damon Audia becomes President, PTx, Corporate Strategy & Distribution, adding AGCO’s Global Distribution Management organisation to his responsibilities.
These changes are intended to strengthen the connection between corporate functions, individual brand strategies, dealer network performance and the group’s broader growth objectives.
A more integrated management structure
With this latest restructuring, AGCO is moving towards a more consolidated leadership model, placing greater responsibility for both business performance and cross-company functions in the hands of a smaller executive team.
The decision to combine global leadership of Fendt and Valtra with responsibility for North American agricultural operations is particularly significant, given the strategic importance of both brands and the North American market within AGCO’s agricultural machinery business.
More broadly, the new structure signals an effort to improve coordination between product development, commercial operations, distribution and customer support.
The effectiveness of this approach will ultimately depend on how the new leadership responsibilities translate into operational execution, dealer support and brand development across AGCO’s international markets.
