“I want to free farmers from exhausting labor”, Kunisaburo Iseki passionately proclaimed when he founded his company. This was an aspiration which arose from his experience in agriculture, his family’s business. With this in mind, in 1926 he established “Iseki Farm Implement Trading Co.” in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture in Japan, and began selling fully-automated rice hullers. This marked the start of Iseki Group’s history. The passion of the founder is what the company inherited, and still exists today as Iseki’s DNA.
Iseki celebrates the 100th anniversary of its founding in 2026.
“We have inherited this aspiration in an unbroken line and have played a role in enhancing agricultural productivity and the creation of livable villages and towns”, says Shiro Tomiyasu, current Representative Director, President and CEO.
“Today, agriculture, which underpins the food supply, and the landscaping business, which supports people’s daily lives, have been reaffirmed for their importance as essential businesses. In support of this, the Iseki Group is contributing to the development of a more prosperous society through its business activities that closely serve customers.”
