BKT presents 3 new V-Flexa sizes

BKT tire supplier from India, introduces 3 additional sizes of its V-Flexa tire range. Featuring VF technology, this Flotation tire, dedicated to agricultural trailers, helps make work in the field more sustainable

VF 600/65 R 26.5, VF 650/55 R 26.5 and VF 560/60 R 22.5 are the new solutions which as from today are part of this radial tire range designed for agricultural trailers.

However, it is not just a question of new sizes: the expansion of this range is a further step towards more sustainable agriculture, a necessary and essential condition for the future of the sector.

But what can be done in concrete terms to reduce agriculture’s impact on the environment? Better controlled and organic seeds, the use of recycled water, renewable energy, and storage of produce underground are some of the solutions. In this sense also agricultural vehicles can make the difference: for example, there is an increasing number of smart, efficient tractors equipped with special cutting-edge technology, such as GPS satellite systems, which help map land and understand its geographic layout in order to organize crops, thus making agricultural work more sustainable.

Moreover, preventing damage to the soil is becoming essential in order to respect the necessary sustainable parameters: hence the choice of the right tire to fit out tractors and trailers is proving essential.

In order to respond to these needs, BKT has for some years adopted for its solutions increased flexion (IF) and very high flexion (VF) technologies.  Products which include IF technology can transport 20% more weight with the same air pressure as standard tires.

VF (Very High Flexion) technology instead lets the tire transport 40% more weight at the same air pressure as a standard tire, as happens for solutions in the V-FLEXA range.

Presented at Agritechnica 2019, V-Flexa is a radial tire dedicated to agricultural trailers. The latest-generation Flotation product features a tread with three belt layers in HD (Heavy Duty) steelwhich provides greater strength to the casing and hence resistance against damaging attacks. Its extra-large tire print enables perfect load distribution, but still operating delicately on the land where necessary, thus avoiding soil compaction and so maintaining the value of crops. Self-cleaning, durability and low rolling resistance complete the qualities which characterize products in this range.

The new VF 600/65 R 26.5, VF 650/55 R 26.5 and VF 560/60 R 22.5 solutions thus join the size which is already available VF 600/55 R 26.5.

These new tires further enrich the BKT catalogue which already has over 2,700 products. The company’s goal is to find solutions that can meet every need and application, developing the right tire for every circumstance, thus enabling users to save time and resources and reduce consumption.
