Massey Ferguson, a global AGCO brand, and International Tractors Limited (ITL), among the world’s leading manufacturers of compact and low-horsepower tractors, are joining forces. The new partnership, announced in a joint press release by the two ag-equipment giants, centers on a strategic supply agreement for compact and low-horsepower models.

In essence, through this collaboration, Massey Ferguson will expand its portfolio with a competitively priced new tractor range designed to meet the needs of a broader customer base, while leveraging the significant manufacturing capabilities of ITL, home to brands like Solis and Sonalika. The partnership involves the supply of compact tractor models starting from 20 hp. For now, the initial rollout will target the Europe and Middle East (EME) region with a phased launch throughout 2027.

Massey Ferguson and ITL, executive comments

“This new offering represents an important step in Massey Ferguson’s strategy to strengthen its position in the growing compact tractor market, serving an increasingly diverse clientele that includes private landowners, municipalities, grounds care professionals, and part-time farmers”, declared Jérôme Aubrion, Senior Marketing Director for Massey Ferguson EME. “These new tractors will deliver the quality, support, and customer experience for which our brand is renowned, while reinforcing our presence in one of the highest-volume segments globally and remaining true to our commitment to putting farmers first.”

“This partnership marks a major milestone in ITL’s global journey”, commented Deepak Mittal, Managing Director of ITL. “We are delighted to collaborate with Massey Ferguson, a brand with a strong, well-established global footprint in agriculture. Together, we are developing a lineup built to Massey Ferguson’s specifications, combining ITL’s large-scale manufacturing capacity with the design, support, and dealership experience Massey Ferguson customers expect.”

This major announcement coincides perfectly with the presentation of the new tractor range to Massey Ferguson dealers and customers, further reinforcing the brand’s position as a trusted partner for farmers worldwide.
