Kuhn expands its tillage range with the launch of the new foldable power harrows HR 5030 R and HR 6030 R. Designed for solo use, both machines offer working widths of 5.00 and 6.00 meters respectively. They are suitable for a wide range of tractors up to 350 hp and offer high productivity.
HR 1030 R power harrows have a single-beam frame. Access to gearboxes and transmissions is thus facilitated, limiting the time spent on maintenance. Thanks to a center of gravity as close as possible to the tractor, driving comfort is ensured and required lifting power is lower.
As soil texture may vary within the same plot, the machine settings must be easily and quickly adjustable to achieve an optimum quality of work. Thanks to the new HR 1030 R range, this is simple. The adjustments of the working depth and the leveling bar are done either manually centrally or hydraulically directly from the tractor cabin.
Optimal seedbed preparation
For optimized crumbling, levelling and tamping, the HR 1030 R are compatible with a wide choice of blades and rollers. They are fitted as standard with DURAKUHN carbide-coated blades for increased resistance to impact and wear. For even longer service life, DURAKARB blades with tungsten carbide inserts are available as an option. Thanks to the FAST-FIT quick fastening system, the time spent replacing them is minimized. Duplex gearboxes have interchangeable sprockets allowing the speed of the rotors to be adapted to the working conditions and the expected result. The HR 5030 R and 6030 R power harrows can be combined with “Maxicrumbler” (Ø 520 mm),” Maxipacker” (Ø 535 mm) or “Megapacker” (Ø 590 mm) rollers. Large in diameter, the latter has excellent bearing capacity.
Kuhn experience and know-how
The reinforced central gearbox is equipped with an oil cooler and the whole of the kinematic chain is protected by a cut-out clutch. Like all Kuhn power harrows, the powerful rotor drive is fully protected by a rigid gear housing. The casing, bearings and blade holders form a compact and very robust unit. The arrangement of tapered roller bearings ensures strength and reliability.
The new HR 1030 R models thus offer an effective solution for preparing a homogeneous and quality seedbed.
