Mahindra and Swaraj gain ITOTY awards

Mahindra Tractors and Swaraj Tractors, both part of Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector, together received eight awards at the third edition of the Indian Tractor of the Year (ITOTY) 2022 ceremony in New Delhi, India.


ITOTY, initiated by Tractor Junction in 2019, is a platform to recognize the efforts of tractor and farm equipment manufacturers in India, the largest tractor market in the world. The ITOTY awards is judged by jury members comprising of experts of farm equipment specialists from across the country who choose the most deserving contender after fair-minded voting.  Both Mahindra and Swaraj joined in the contest and both earned 4 awards.




Mahindra 575 DI XP Plus Indian tractor of the year

Launched last year, the Mahindra 575 DI XP Plus was the highest selling tractor in 2022 and is the strongest brand in 40-50 HP category; true to Mahindra Tractors Tough Hardum brand positioning.

Recognized as one of the most Tough and reliable tractors in in its category, the Mahindra 575 DI XP PLUS is renowned for exceptional haulage capacity and can be used across a multitude of farming applications from pre harvest to post harvest. Engineered to deliver a good combination of Performance & Fuel efficiency the 2WD tractor has a 35 kW (46.9 HP) four-cylinder ELS DI engine, Smooth Constant Mesh Transmission, and 1480 kg of Advanced ADDC Hydraulics High Lift Capacity. The tractor comes with a warranty of six-year.


Mahindra Novo 755 DI  best tractor above 60hp

According to the ITOTY jury, the Mahindra Novo 755 DI is a powerful and technologically advanced 4WD tractor, built for various soil conditions and agri seasons in India. Engineered with a 55.2 kW (74.0 HP) four-cylinder engine, a rated RPM (r/min) of 2100, with 30 different speed options, the tech features make up this versatile tractor.

Mahindra Shree best CSR Initiative

Based on Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector’s brand promise of Transform Farming & enrich lives’ ‘Mahindra Shree’ is a pan-India scholarship program for students of low-income farmers, who have completed their 10 and 12 board examination in 2020-2021. With over 200,000 farmers as part of the program, Mahindra Shree is an initiative that works towards uplifting the lives of farmers and their families. Mahindra Tractors announced scholarships for 1000 students of low-income farmers pan-India in 2022. Mahindra Tractors has joined hands with NGO ‘United Ways India’ – affiliated to the global United Way network.

Swaraj Tractors receives four ITOTY awards

Also Swaraj Tractors, part of Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector, received four awards during the ITOTY 2022 ceremony.


Firstly, Swaraj tractors was recognized as India’s fastest growing tractor manufacturer. Swaraj today produces tractors ranging from 15 to 65hp, Wheel and Track type combine harvesters and a range of agricultural implements and complete farming solutions.

Swaraj has also brought Horticulture mechanization to India with its recently launched product CODE, a versatile multi-purpose ride-on machine, narrowest and lightest in design and weight.

Swaraj also takes pride in ‘made by the farmer for the farmer’ as many Swaraj employees come from an agricultural background giving unique insights into the practice of agriculture.

The brand also won three other awards in different categories.

Code by Swaraj: smart machinery of the year

CODE, is a multi-purpose farm mechanization solution to transform horticulture farming in India. It is conceived with the idea of eliminating drudgery of labor involved in horticulture farming. The narrowest and the lightest ride-on machine, allows farmers to carry out inter-culture operations in narrow rows for various vegetable & fruit crops. Additionally, the shorter turning radius of this machine provides better maneuverability in smaller farms cultivating horticulture crops. 

Swaraj 735 FE: best tractor between 30 and 40hp

Swaraj 735 FE was awarded the most preferred tractor in the farming community because of its long life, low maintenance costs & ergonomic design. It comes with a powerful engine and is suitable for both agriculture and allied operations.





The best CSR initiative project pani

Swaraj’s CSR team undertaken Project Pani, deals with the problem of ground water depletion in Punjab as well as Rajasthan. This project is largely focused on conservation of water through renovation of the 18 traditional water ponds in four years in the needy villages of Punjab & Rajasthan. This initiative would annually conserve around 40 Lakh CMT of water which can support irrigation and drinking water needs of more than 20 villages. In another such initiative, Roof rainwater Harvesting tanks have been constructed in 44 Government Schools of Rajasthan & Punjab. About 40 Lakh litres of water will be conserved through this project annually. Under this project clean drinking water will be provided to more than 10000 students of Rural Rajasthan where there was high concentration of fluoride in existing ground water.
