Innovation at Farm Progress Show

The annual Farm Progress Show is going to take place shortly. As it is a US based event, to a large extent exhibitors from North America participate, like CNH, AGCO and John Deere. These companies will demonstrate and display new and updated products. An overview of a couple of these innovations.

True to tradition, CNH is bringing both its Case IH and New Holland brands to the show.

The new Case IH WD6 series windrower features Relative Yield Mapping technology. Producers can view a map of relative in-field yield variations while harvesting. This unlocked data is seamlessly viewable through FieldOps, providing actionable agronomic insights for year-over-year optimization. With “Connectivity Included”, producers can connect to FieldOps and access yield-specific data with no annual subscription costs.

The WD6 series windrower also helps producers work more efficiently by combining speeds of up to 20 mph in-field and 30 mph in transport and the widest available disc head. It introduces a new active hydraulic system that automatically maintains pressure for more consistent ground pressure and cut quality.

Designed specifically for smaller operations, the Axial-Flow 160 series combine harvester maximizes productivity with new precision technology updates. The Axial-Flow 160 series come with a Vector Pro receiver and RowGuide Pro for improved row guidance, along with AccuTurn end of row turns, AccuGuide Pro autoguidance for hands-free automated  steering and AccuSync machine coordination for real-time guidance line and coverage sharing.

The Axial-Flow 160 series combine is equipped with Pro 1200 dual displays, enabling Remote Display View and an improved Harvest Command automation technology interface, adding grain camera viewing capabilities.

Also the new Nutri-Tiller can be seen at the show.

New Holland

New Holland introduces the new Speedrower 1 Series self-propelled windrower lineup, featuring increased horsepower, enhanced operator controls, upgraded cooling performance and Relative Yield Monitoring integrated with FieldOps connectivity.

New Holland will also showcase model year 2027 Roll-Belt 1 Series round balers, featuring durability improvements, a new net protection system, factory-fit IntelliBale automation and updated operator technology options designed to improve productivity and simplify operation in demanding conditions.

Moreover, New Holland will spotlight the latest advancements in forage harvesting technology available on FR self-propelled forage harvesters. These include technologies such as ForageCam, NutriSense and CropSpeed, solutions to help operators automate key machine adjustments, optimize processing performance, gather valuable crop information and reduce the risk of harvest interruptions.  ForageCam uses AI-driven image analysis to continuously evaluate kernel processing performance and automatically adjust crop processor settings to help maintain desired forage quality targets.

A heritage Genesis 8970 tractor equipped with modern aftermarket precision technology will demonstrate how today’s guidance, connectivity and precision farming capabilities can be integrated into existing equipment fleets.

Visitors will also see the continued rollout of Dynamic Blue, New Holland’s updated tractor styling direction. Seen most prominently on the recent launch of the T7 XD, T7 Standard Wheelbase and PowerStar tractors, the new livery will be rolled out to the remaining tractor series and blue product lines, including the Guardian front boom sprayer, which will also be present.

AGCO

“Farm Progress Show is where we put our newest technology directly in farmers’ hands, and this year we are doing it in front of the world,” said Eric Hansotia, Chairman, President & CEO, AGCO. Fendt is holding its first international press conference on U.S. soil, which reaffirms how important North America for the Fendt brand.

Fendt will unveil three new products across its tractor and planter platforms. The brand will also highlight updates to existing equipment lines such as the 500 Vario Gen4 and 800 Vario Gen5 tractors, plus a preview of transport speed options across the series. Rounding out the display is the IDEAL combine harvester.

The all-new N-Series Split/Narrow row planters from Massey Ferguson, combines factory-installed Precision Planting technology with a modular design to deliver optimum planting performance.

Product updates include the next-generation double baler with an inline dual-bale system for faster, more efficient bale collection and the MF 5S Series with the Dyna-VT CVT transmission.

Offering solutions for every season, the PTx booth will feature Precision Planting’s new ArrowTube seed orientation system and SymphonyVision | Duo camera-based spraying to handle both broadcast and spot weed control. Also on display are the DrySet Air tower-by-tower metering and monitoring air seeder system and SmokeRow sprayer systems designed to help control edge-of-field weeds.
From PTx Trimble, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about PTx FarmENGAGE fleet and farm management and OutRun autonomous harvest and tillage options.

John Deere

Although not much communicated yet, John Deere will of course demonstrate much of its new and upgraded products and solutions at Farm Progress. Certainly not “last but not least”,  the company will with no doubt display the recently upgraded 6R and 8R tractor series, as well as combine harvesters and the new Hands-Free baling solution.

The 2026 Farm Progress Show will take place From September 1-3 in Boone, Iowa USA.
