Shaktiman strengthens global presence as farmers seek reliable and cost-effective machinery

With participation in major agricultural trade shows in Brazil, Thailand, Serbia, Honduras and Indonesia, the company has gathered feedback from farmers, dealers and importers operating in very different agricultural environments.

Despite differences in farm size, cropping systems and levels of mechanisation, one requirement appears to be consistent across these markets: farmers are looking for compact, reliable and cost-effective machinery capable of delivering consistent performance in everyday agricultural operations.

The findings reflect a particular interest in equipment for soil preparation, haymaking and forage production, as well as specialised machinery for crops such as rice and sugarcane.

European farmers focus on soil preparation and haymaking equipment

At the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, Serbia, Shaktiman recorded significant interest in its range of soil cultivation and forage harvesting equipment.

Power harrows attracted the greatest attention, followed by round balers, shredders, square balers, drum mowers and rotary tillers. According to the company, many visitors were already evaluating machinery investments for the following agricultural season, suggesting continued demand for practical mechanisation solutions.

The exhibition also provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with the regional distribution network. In addition to Serbian farmers and dealers, the Shaktiman stand welcomed industry representatives from North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia and Kosovo.

Among the visitors was Abhishek Shukla, India’s Ambassador to Serbia. The event highlighted the importance of Central and Eastern European markets for agricultural machinery manufacturers offering versatile equipment suitable for different farm sizes and production systems.

Southeast Asia: strong interest in rice farming and baling technology

Southeast Asia represented another important stage of Shaktiman’s international exhibition programme.

At Agritechnica Asia in Bangkok, Thailand, the company met farmers, distributors and importers from several countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan and Peru.

The Shaktiman Square Baler 150 emerged as one of the main attractions at the exhibition, reflecting interest in equipment for collecting and managing crop residues and forage. Rice producers also showed considerable interest in the Paddy Master, a machine developed for applications in rice-growing operations.

The importance of this market was further underlined by Shaktiman’s participation in Inagritech, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in July.

As one of the world’s largest rice-producing countries, Indonesia represents a significant market for agricultural mechanisation technologies, particularly equipment designed to support efficient operations in paddy fields.

Through these exhibitions, Shaktiman continued to develop contacts with local distributors and agricultural businesses while gaining a clearer understanding of the technical and operational requirements of Southeast Asian farmers.

Sugarcane mechanisation takes centre stage in Brazil

In the Americas, Shaktiman’s exhibition activities focused on agricultural sectors with specific mechanisation requirements. At Agrishow in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, one of Latin America’s leading agricultural machinery exhibitions, the company showcased its sugarcane harvesters.

Brazil is the world’s largest sugarcane producer, making the country a strategically important market for machinery designed to support harvesting operations in this sector.

The exhibition offered Shaktiman an opportunity to present its technology to Brazilian farmers and agricultural contractors while exploring potential commercial opportunities in a market characterised by large-scale agricultural production.

In June, the company also participated in Feria Juniana in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, extending its presence in Central America.

The event provided an opportunity to introduce Shaktiman’s agricultural machinery portfolio to local farmers and livestock producers, reinforcing its efforts to expand its international distribution network.

Reliability, durability and affordability remain key purchasing factors

According to Shaktiman, the feedback collected during the first half of 2026 confirms that farmers across different regions share similar expectations when investing in agricultural machinery.

Equipment reliability, durability, operating efficiency and affordability remain central considerations, regardless of geographical location or the scale of farming operations.

“Trade shows are where we listen,” said Ashwin Gohil, Chairman of Shaktiman.

“In the first half of the year, we met farmers and dealers from more than 15 countries, and the message was the same everywhere: they need machines that work hard, last long and make economic sense for their farms.”

“That is exactly what Shaktiman is committed to delivering, and it is also why we continue to invest in our international dealer network, so that we can be closer to farmers wherever they are.”

The company’s strategy places particular emphasis on strengthening its relationships with local dealers and importers, which play an essential role in providing machinery availability, technical assistance and after-sales support across international markets.

Next stops: EIMA International and Expo AgroAlimentaria

Following its participation in five international exhibitions, Shaktiman is preparing for the next stage of its 2026 trade show programme. The company is expected to announce further details of its autumn exhibition plans in the coming weeks, including participation in EIMA International in Bologna, Italy, and Expo AgroAlimentaria Guanajuato in Mexico.

These events will provide additional opportunities to strengthen Shaktiman’s presence in European and Latin American markets, establish new commercial relationships and gather further insights into the evolving needs of farmers.

For the Indian manufacturer, the international exhibition programme is not only a platform for presenting its machinery portfolio but also an opportunity to align future product development and distribution strategies with the practical requirements of agricultural businesses worldwide.
