Claas completes Arion 6 series

Claas is rounding off the Arion 6 Cmatic range with two new models, delivering 145 and 165 hp. These include comfort features such as premium driver’s seats with a massage function, multimedia system with wireless smartphone connectivity and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, as well as a new lighting concept.

The Arion 6 Cmatic series now comprises three models in the range from 145 hp to 205 hp, powered by a 6.8-litre six-cylinder engine delivering up to 849 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm. Flagship Arion 6.190 Cmatic benefits from a revised Claas Power Management (CPM) system that now activates additional power variably according to demand, improving efficiency during transport and when operating PTO- or hydraulically driven implements. A low 650 rpm super-idle setting is designed to cut fuel consumption and noise while stationary.

At the center of the update is the continuously variable Cmatic transmission, developed by Claas Industrietechnik. The gearbox is engineered for long service life and features automatic trailer overrun braking, a dedicated wheel-loader mode and a new adaptive power train management system that received a Silver Innovation Award at Agritechnica 2025. The system’s Auto Load Anticipation function detects impending load spikes, such as when a tillage implement is lowered, and proactively raises engine speed while adjusting the transmission to maintain stable handling and prevent engine droop.

The integrated management system continuously coordinates engine speed, gear ratio, vehicle speed and hydraulic demand to deliver the required power with lower fuel use and without driver intervention. The result is more dynamic field and road performance, improved transport safety and better traction during front-loader work, aided by the tractor’s long wheelbase and balanced weight distribution.

The Arion 6 Cmatic can also be equipped with the optional Cemos Dialog operator assistance system. Using self-learning algorithms, it works interactively with the driver to optimise field output and fuel efficiency and to support correct ballasting and tyre-pressure settings.

Comfort has been significantly expanded. A fully suspended, low-noise cab and Proactiv front axle suspension are intended to reduce fatigue during long working days. The Cmotion multifunction lever places driving controls, eight freely assignable buttons, rear linkage functions and headland management within one hand’s reach. A new premium seat with massage function, semi-active suspension and climate control is available across the range, while a new multimedia system adds Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and DAB+ connectivity.

Digital farming functions are integrated through the Cebis terminal, which manages hydraulics, linkage, ISOBUS and Cemos settings via touchscreen or rotary control. With the Cemis 1200 steering terminal and GPS Pilot guidance, operators can plan reference lines in advance using Claas connect and send them directly to the tractor. A new Auto RefLine feature automatically selects and switches between appropriate guidance tracks, including headland and wedge lines, reducing manual input.

Further operator aids include an optional dynamic steering system that roughly halves steering-wheel turns during tight manoeuvres and a new lighting package with up to 20 LED work lights and illuminated access steps for safer night operation.

Claas emphasizes connectivity. Through Claas connect, users can manage machine configuration, maintenance, documentation, fleet operations and precision-farming data from the office or a mobile device. Optional Farm connect, Fleet connect and Field connect licenses add job management, automatic field documentation, real-time machine monitoring and performance analysis across fleets, features are aimed particularly at contractors and large farms.
