Behind this first photo of the Seederal electric tractor, lie years of development. This includes design, making technical decisions, manufacturing, integration, assembly, and the “unexpected”.

Unlike the first model, which was developed from an existing platform to validate technological choices, the tractor as shown now has been designed entirely by Seederal. The startup company from France first showed its tractor as a concept study. Funding for further development came from a group of investors and from the French government.

The architecture, battery, energy management, traction system, cab and design of the tractor were all conceived together from the very beginning, with a focus on electric power and agricultural applications.

“For the first time, everything we’ve imagined, designed, tested, and assembled has now come together in a complete, recognizable tractor that is unmistakably Seederal”, the company states in a post on LinkedIn.

According to Seederal, there are still a few tweaks to be made. “But after all these years of further development it is needless to say, that we don’t plan on leaving it in the workshop for long…”
