Schuitemaker is expanding its Rapide forage wagon line with two new models: the Rapide 6 and Rapide 8. Both machines have been developed as more compact versions of the Rapide 7 and Rapide 9 respectively, while retaining the same configuration options, performance, and cutting quality.
Thanks to their shorter overall length and adjusted hopper length, the Rapide 6 and 8 offer an ideal combination of maneuverability and low ground pressure. With this expansion, every user can choose a forage wagon that matches their farm and field size and desired capacity.
With the addition of the Rapide 6 and 8, Schuitemaker now offers a complete range in the larger segment of tandem and tridem forage wagons. With hopper lengths of 6.70 and 7.70 meters for the tandem models and 8.70 and 9.70 meters for the tridem models, a comprehensive lineup is now available.
Tire sizes are available in both R26.5 and R30.5 configurations, . The modular design makes it possible to choose a Rapide configuration that suits any operation. The four models in the new Rapide series, available in both standard and XC versions, feature the unique combination of the rotor housing, the cutting mechanism, and the trailend pick-up. This ensures optimal crop flow and consistent cutting results.
Option packages
The compact Rapide 6 and 8, just like the well-known Rapide 7 and 9, are available in Pro, Performance, or Ultimate versions with a cutting length of 40 mm (50 knives). These dual-purpose harvesters are also available in the XC version. Here, 80 knives ensure a short cutting length of as little as 24 mm.
The Rapide 6 and 8 can be equipped with a hydraulically movable front board in combination with the patented RapidRelease system. This High Volume package provides an additional capacity of 4 m³, resulting in a maximum capacity of 39 m³ for the Rapide 6 and 50 m³ for the Rapide 8.
