Novacat T trailed disc mowers from Pöttinger are supported by their own chassis, making them properly cut the forage. These robust mowers are now also available with a working width of four meters. Also new is the ability to adjust the cutting height hydraulically directly from the driver’s cab.
Depending on the model, the mowers are available with ED tine conditioners or RC roller conditioners. Thanks to their adjustable swath doors, both conditioner systems can either spread the crop wide or form a swath, depending on the specific requirements. On all versions, power is transmitted from the cutter bar gearbox to the conditioner by V-belts with a spring-loaded belt tensioner. New on the Novacat T is that it can be equipped with the latest generation of roller conditioners. These drive both rollers synchronously using a swivel gearbox for maximum throughput. Both the 3.5 and 4 meter versions are also available without a conditioner.
The mounting on the swivel gearbox is attached as standard to the tractor’s lower linkage using a yoke. The optional tractor pick-up hitch attachment has been developed with special attention to the requirements of farmers in North America.
Thanks to the fully movable suspension of the cutter bar, it adapts three-dimensionally to the ground so that the cutter bar floats gently over any bumps. In addition, a new center indicator enhances safety for road transport.
