Herbert Dammann GmbH of Buxtehude in Germany, has filed for bankruptcy. The company is known for professional crop protection equipment and specialty vehicles. A provisional administrator has been appointed for the long-established family business.

For the agricultural machinery industry in northern Germany, this move marks a turning point. Dammann has been regarded for decades as a specialist in liquids application. The company’s primary focus is on crop protection technology. In addition, its systems are used in vehicles for winter road maintenance and rail maintenance.

Herbert Dammann GmbH was founded on March 15, 1979, by Herbert Dammann. The farmer and mechanical engineer initially developed solutions to adapt agricultural technology to his own needs. This practical approach gave rise to a company that evolved into an internationally active provider of crop protection technology.

Today, the family business is led by the second generation. According to the company, Dammann employs around 150 people and offers machines and systems for liquid application worldwide. The focus is on crop protection equipment with working widths of up to 48 meters and tank capacities of up to 20,000 liters.
