Krone introduces a rear mounted EasyCut R 360 Collect mower with auger conveyor. The conveyor can place the crops in the swath while mowing, thus making the harvesting process more efficient.

The new EasyCut R 360 Collect combines proven mowing technology with its highly efficient auger conveyor. Depending on requirements, cut crops can either be placed directly on the swath or across the width. When operated on its own, the mower without the conditioner has a working width of 3.6 m and when combined with a front mounted mower it has a width of up to 6.5 m. Thus the EasyCut R 360 Collect well suits forage farms with their own machinery, as well as industry-wide applications.

The technology of the Collect model is based on the EasyCut R 360 and is characterized by the large scale, integrated auger conveyor with a diameter of 450 mm. Depending on requirements, the conveyor ensures neat swath forming directly during the mowing process or uniform wide spreading that helps the drying process. The auger conveyor is operated under a closed, hydraulically adjustable hood that is controlled directly from the tractor cabin. This enables the driver to easily and conveniently switch between wide spreading and swathing, and ensure crops are optimally prepared for subsequent harvesting machines.

The partial widths can also be positioned particularly accurately using the auger conveyor. Using the 12-to-6 process, this ensures that mowing can be completed at 12 m and crops can subsequently be consolidated efficiently to 6 m using a double rotor center rotor rake. The Collect system thus enables optimum use of harvesting machines even if mowing is completed later and crop levels are low.

Accurate cutting profile

With a mower unit that has six cutting discs and two mower drums, the EasyCut R 360 Collect provides an accurate cutting profile and even crop flow. The long lubrication interval of 250 hours reduces the amount maintenance work. The new “Fullcover” cutterbar also provides additional wear protection to the relevant components.

The DuoGrip centre-of-gravity suspension ensures weight is distributed evenly and adjusts to the ground perfectly. The impact damage protection system integrated in the headstock protects the machine reliably against damage caused by collisions. The lateral and front mower guards provide additional protection and can simply be folded up for maintenance and transport purposes. The mower is equipped with a support for counterweights as standard, to optimize the center of gravity and reduce the load of the tractor lifting unit. With a transport height of less than 4 m, the 124° folding angle ensures it can be transported safely.

Increasing operator comfort

In addition, there is a wide range of optional equipment to adapt the mower to different areas of application. The high-cut skids ensure that the cutting height can be raised to over 90 mm, which is particularly advantageous in dry and rocky regions. A hydraulically adjustable swath cloth always ensures that the swath is uniform even when mowing tapered areas or slopes. The optional hydraulic cutterbar relief enables it to be fine-tuned from the tractor cab.  Modern telemetry is also available: The SmartConnect solar module ensures that work data, such as the location, activity or distance is recorded regardless of the power supply.
