Caterpillar acquires Monarch assets

Last week Monarch Tractor announced on LinkedIn that the company had sold its technology to a major global equipment manufacturer. First reported by Bloomberg News, it now has become clear that Caterpillar has acquired the assets of Monarch.

In the news item on WORLD-AGRITECH.com last week, it was suggested that CNH could have purchased Monarch Tractor because of its ties in the recent past, both in the field of the use of Monarch technology in the New Holland T4 electric tractor, as well as through its financial involvement in the company.

Eventually Caterpillar is said to have acquired Monarch Tractor, although nor Cat, nor Monarch have confirmed the deal yet.
