Krone now offers its GX transport system in combination with a lorry. At the DeLuTa trade fair in Bremen, Germany, Krone presented the GX 520 AgriLiner, a powerful transport vehicle for the agricultural sector both on the road and in the field.
The demand for lorries specially designed for transporting agricultural goods has grown steadily in recent years. The reasons are multi-faceted. Transport routes and cost pressure are rising, skilled workers are becoming ever more difficult to find and the harvest window is steadily shrinking. These challenges can only be overcome by applying efficient transport concepts. In response to these developments, Krone presents the GX 520 AgriLiner. This machine is based on the technology of the Krone GX universal transport wagon, which is semi-mounted on an AgriTruck as a towing machine with the aid of some technical adaptations. This makes it possible to transport agricultural goods quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.
High load capacity
The GX 520 AgriLiner is based on the body of the well-known GX 520 universal transport wagon. One advantage is that there is no need for the third axle for the GX 520 AgriLiner, thanks to the high vertical load of the towing machine. The ample loading volume of up to 52 m3 allows for maximum productivity and, in combination with the spring-loaded conveyor belt connected to the front wall, all kinds of goods are conveyed very gently. Thanks to the belt, which can be moved forward and backward, not only loose material, but also pallet goods and miscellaneous piece goods are easy to load and unload.
On the road and in the field
Thanks to its large 26.5″ tyres, the GX 520 AgriLiner is ideally designed for use in the field. The GX 520 AgriLiner can be towed for example by the 510 HP Krone AgriTruck. This vehicle offers capability for field work, maximum operator comfort and pure efficiency for extended transport routes. Here in particular the advantages of this tractor/machine combination come to the forefront. The cabin of the AgriTruck offers maximum operator comfort both in terms of the suspension and with the assistance systems from the automotive sector. The electronic forced steering of the GX AgriLiner, a standard feature, gives the tractor/machine combination manoeuvrability and the mechanical all-wheel drive of the AgriTruck underscores the fact that capability for field work is part and parcel of the DNA of this tractor/machine combination. An agricultural lorry-based transport solution offers advantages in both procurement and maintenance costs compared to tractor transport solutions.
