Alliance highlights VF tire technology

Alliance, a brand of Yokohama-ATG (Y-ATG), provides solutions for soil protection, fuel efficiency and work rates, as well as economic benefits. Recent Field Days in Italy addressed issues such as the ongoing development of VF tire technology, soil compaction, footprint, tractor and tire pressure tests as well as strategies to maximise the tires’ life span.

“Alliance aims to increase awareness for soil protection, economic performance and tire durability, and we want to highlight VF tire technology,” says Massimo Mori, country manager Italy during the recently held EIMA tradeshow in Bologna, Italy.

One of the key messages of the Field Days was the further evolution of VF technology. Tire upgrades also showcased, included the Agriflex+363 XT, a row crop tire with further improved roadability and the Agriflex+ 389 XT.

“We understand that raising awareness for critical issues such as tire inflation pressure and soil compaction, and for effective on-farm measures, helps farmers to better cope with their plentiful daily challenges,” explains Massimo Mori. “That is why we draw attention to tires such as the Agri Star II and the Agriflex+ 372, and the advantages to be gained from very high flexion technology. This technology enables the same load to be carried at 40% lower pressures, or 40% more load to be carried at the standard recommended pressures for the respective size and type of tire.”

The Agriflex 373+ with its unique tread, combines Stratified Layer with VF technology to deliver performance in the field and on the road. “We use the data and insights of these Field Days to highlight how the correct tire pressures optimise tire life, work rates, fuel consumption and safety”, Massimo Mori concludes.
