Kubota starts operations of North American R&D base

Kubota Corporation established the Kubota Research & Development North America Corporation (KRDNA) research and development base in the United States as part of its efforts to globalize its research and development organization. This new R&D base will strengthen the research and development of products in line with local needs and promote business expansion in North America.


Kubota has been expanding its research and development organization worldwide as its business becomes increasingly global to address unique and diverse local needs. North America is the largest market for Kubota’s agricultural machinery business. Kubota has been making progress in its shift to local manufacturing and sales in addition to spearheading other expansion efforts.

Kubota established KRDNA as a new research and development base to expand business mainly in North America around mowers, utility vehicles, and tractor implements. This new base led by a local staff lays the foundation for swift development of products tailored to local needs. In the future, Kubota will deepen cooperation between its R&D centers in Japan and local manufacturing and sales bases to drive further business expansion in North America.

The new R&D facility is based in Georgia, United States. The entire investment accounts approx. 80 million USD (9.9 billion yen)
