Maratona MK, Alpego’s disc cultivator

The frame, made of high-strength steel, features a “herringbone” disc arrangement, a solution that ensures uniform mixing and limits the accumulation of crop residues.

The 460 mm diameter toothed discs, also made of high-strength low-alloy steel, are mounted on low-maintenance “Long-Life” sealed bearings and connected to the frame via elastic elements that allow for better absorption of operational stresses. To ensure a uniform working depth even in the tractor wheel tracks, the rear discs aligned with the tracks are individually height-adjustable.

The elastic movable side deflectors contain the soil flow produced by the discs and facilitate its proper redirection toward the rear roller, whose adjustment is carried out via practical ratchet jacks that allow for quick and precise interventions.

Available in 4, 5, and 6-meter working widths, the Maratona MK requires tractors with power ratings ranging from 120 to 330 hp and, thanks to a transport width of just 2.5 meters, ensures easy road transport.
