MacDon took its FD2 FlexDraper ground-following platform performance to the next level. With over 2 inches of extra flex at the cutterbar, the FD2 Plus touches the ground tighter, reaching deeper into low spots and scooping up every last bit of available crop.

The FD2 Plus maintains its close reel-to-cutterbar relationship for smooth, consistent feeding. The instant float response keeps the header moving effortlessly with the land, cutting closer, capturing more crop.

The FD2 Plus is designed for harvesting low-podding crops in highly uneven or hilly fields or navigating along challenging terraces and waterways.

Its advanced flexing technology ensures even stubble height, prevents dirt buildup, and maintains optimal reel-to-cutterbar positioning so that every last bit of crop gets off the field and into the combine.

The header features a full-length flex cutterbar for exceptional ground tracking while maintaining the majority of the reel-to-cutterbar relationship. This close alignment is critical for capturing low-podding crops, allowing the reel fingers to lift and guide the cut crop onto the drapers. The tight reel-to-cutterbar relationship ensures that cut crop reaches the drapers and flows smoothly into the combine.

The FD2 Plus features a simple yet reliable leaf spring flexing cutterbar, delivering a featherlight float response that instantly adapts to ground conditions. This system works in tandem with MacDon’s flexing frame and  “Active Float System” which supports up to 97% of the header’s weight.

Like the FD2, the FD2 Plus is built for multi-crop harvesting, seamlessly adapting to different conditions. With just a few easy lockouts, it transforms from a fully flexing frame and cutterbar to a completely rigid unit.

Equipped with 50-inch deep drapers, it easily handles high-volume crops, ensuring smooth, heads-first feeding. This allows maximum performance across multiple crops using a single header solution.
