Maschio Gaspardo presents the Jumbo X power harrow with a working width of 10 meter. This road compliant machine received a “Technical Innovation” award by FederUnacoma, during the recently held EIMA tradeshow in Bologna, Italy.
The Jumbo X was developed in collaboration with the Italian School of Design (SID). With six new mechanical and electronic patents, the Jumbo X combines high productivity while reducing fuel consumption per hectare worked, thereby cutting CO₂ emissions.
The reinforced frame, consisting of three main sections, ensures flexibility, while the cardan transmission and cooling of the gearboxes enhance the machine’s durability. The flotation system allows the harrow to adapt perfectly to the terrain, ensuring a consistent working depth.
The patented 4-wheel cart is positioned close to the tractor. This simplifies transport, while the “Power Hub” system and “Blindato” bearings on the rear rollers increase operational life and protect against external contamination.
Additionally, the Jumbo X enables automatic management of end-of-field maneuvers, making it easy to lift the side wings. Thanks to the ISOBUS system, the operator can monitor and control working parameters directly from the in-cab monitor, reducing energy consumption and environmental impact. A load cell allows for modulation of tractor power to enhance machine efficiency. Ongoing tests with the University of Bologna have confirmed benefits in terms of fuel and energy performance.
