New Holland and dealership Nova Holanda inaugurated the New Holland training center, located at Cidade do Agro, the new education complex of the University of Agro | Uniube, in Uberlândia (MG), Brazil. The initiative is expected to benefit approximately 8,000 students.
In the new center, New Holland will be training qualified professionals for the agribusiness, bringing students, researchers, and the agricultural sector closer together through a facility focused on hands-on learning and access to the most modern agricultural technologies.
With an investment of R$ 2.8 million (USD 5.4 million), New Holland equipped the training center with machinery and solutions that will now be integrated into the activities of the teaching farm at Cidade do Agro. In partnership with dealership Nova Holanda, two tractors (TL5.80 and T6.140), a CR 6 combine harvester, and a Defensor 2500 sprayer were provided. These machines will be used for technical training of students. Soon, the list of equipment will be expanded with a CR combine harvester cab simulator.
The inauguration of the training center, the first of its kind in Minas Gerais, is part of the official opening of Cidade do Agro, a project by Universidade do Agro | Uniube designed to bridge the gap between education, research, innovation, and the market. Within this system, New Holland now offers a learning environment connected to the realities of the field, allowing students to have direct contact with technologies used by farmers in their operations.

Connected to agricultural technologies
In addition to providing hands-on training for students, the training center will be used for ongoing professional development for teachers, dealers, customers, and industry professionals, covering topics such as precision agriculture, artificial intelligence, automation, connectivity, smart machinery, and solutions for low-carbon agriculture.
The space will also host workshops, technical training sessions, and live broadcasts for students courses and at the University of Agro’s distance learning centers throughout Brazil, expanding the reach of the activities carried out at the complex.
According to Auri Orlando, New Holland’s Director of Customer and Dealer Support for Latin America, the New Holland training center is designed to offer a comprehensive learning experience, familiarizing students and professionals with the technologies found in New Holland machinery. “Our goal is to help prepare people to work in an agribusiness sector that is increasingly technological, connected, and sustainable,” he notes.
The partnership includes initiatives focused on innovation, joint project development, and training programs for CNH and New Holland employees, strengthening the integration between industry, dealers, and the university.
