Escarda weed control ready to market

Following its launch in April 2025, Escarda Technologies is now marketing its CE-certified laser system for weed control. The AI-driven technology detects weeds as small as three millimeters and eliminates them precisely with a laser beam, without chemical agents and without damaging the soil.

The system is the first patented laser-based weed control solution featuring a safety concept certified by Dekra. It is suitable for both organic and conventional farming and offers farmers a ready-to-use alternative to herbicides.

The technology impresses with its lightweight and scalable design: A single laser box weighing just 400 kilograms can be pulled by a 60-horsepower tractor. For larger areas, up to eight modules can be operated in parallel.

Early pilot customers, such as U.S. tomato processor Morning Star, are already using the system successfully, proof of its practical viability and international demand.

With Escarda’s modular system, up to eight laser units can be installed for large areas.

Escarda herbicide-free weed control integrates laser technology with a high-precision camera and AI-driven software.
