Metsjö is well-known throughout Scandinavia for its high-capacity trailers and hook lift systems. Among its innovations are a large grass trailer, the MetaK 120, with a 90m³ capacity, and the large tractor drawn hook lift trailer, the MetaFlex 60–75 4X, with a tipping force of 35 tons. The company also manufactures bale trailers with hydraulic sides and tipping trailers for grass, grain, and sand/gravel.
Metsjö operates powerful industrial equipment, including a 40-meter tube laser with 3D cutting capabilities and a 1,000-ton CNC press brake.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to bring Metsjö’s products to Canada. The company has developed unique and well-thought-out technologies, such as the telescopic tipping function on their hook lift trailers. This makes the hook lift just as fast as a conventional tipper when unloading, significantly stronger in shifting, and eliminates the need for a separate PTO-driven hydraulic system,” says Jeff Lancaster, owner and managing director of LanAgro.
“We are thrilled to enter the Canadian market, a country that in many ways shares a similar climate with Sweden. Both countries deal with salty winter roads, something our advanced painting system is designed to withstand. We look forward to connecting with Canadian farmers and contractors, and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to deliver our trailers to Canada,” says Anders Ivarsson of Ivarssons i Metsjö AB.
“Our direct-to-dealer sales approach will make i Metso products available to farmer and contractors at reasonable costs.” said Jeff Lancaster. Adding that Scandinavian made agricultural equipment has an excellent reputation for both quality and functionality on the Canadian market. “We are representing products from Nordic nations that have operating conditions very similar to ours, this is an incredible asset. It’s also equipment that is tariff-free from countries that do not have any ambitions or designs against Canadian famers.”
