Weighing bales on the bale kicker

Kuhn introduces a new bale weighing system on the VB 7100 round baler. This helps farmers and contractors getting precise and reliable data, thus improving productivity and efficiency. The system allows the VB 7100 to weigh bales directly on the bale kicker, ensuring accurate measurements.

The system weighs bales between 100 and 1500 kg with the highest accuracy. Thanks to the integration in the bale kicker, only the bale is weighed, not the entire machine. Moreover, the system includes a slope compensation sensor to maintain accuracy on slopes. Important bale weight information is shown on a personalized work screen, including average bale weight, weight of the last bale, total weight, and work counter metrics.

The weighing system can be used independently or in combination with Kuhn Baler Automation functionalities. With Task Controller basic (TC-BAS), bale weight data per work counter is transferred to the Farm Management Information System (FMIS). Task Controller geo-based (TC-GEO) combines individual bale weight information with location details, providing a solid basis for yield measurement.

Moisture measurement is offered as standard on VB 7100 balers. By adding the new bale weighing system, the dry matter yield can be calculated. The bale kicker with weighing system is available from 2026, and suitable for VB 7100 series balers from model year 2025 onwards.
