Claas importer Agrall, together with representatives of the Claas Group management, Claas Central Europe and Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser, handed over seventeen large tractors from the Xerion 12 Terra Trac series to the RHEA Holding of the Kolář family in Czech Republic.
With seventeen Xerion 12 Terra Trac large tractors, RHEA Holding operates the world’s largest fleet of Xerion tractors. Six of these will operate on the over more than 25,000 hectares of cultivated land.
After the majority of the new Xerion fleet was delivered in spring in time for the sowing preparations, the official handover recently took place in front of ten of the seventeen machines with the participation of representatives from Claas and importer Agrall.
“We are proud that RHEA Holding is now also embedding confidence in our most powerful tractor”, explains Christian Radons, Executive VP Business Unit Service & Sales at Claas.
Dr. Martin von Hoyningen-Huene adds: “The Xerion has won major awards, including Tractor of the Year 2024, the Farm Machinery Award in the Large Tractor category and the AE50 Award.”
On the fields of RHEA Holding, the 17 Xerions are mainly used for tillage, for which 18 new tillage implements and seed drills from Väderstad were purchased to match the performance of the Xerion 12s. The soils vary from sand to heavy clay, some with a high stone content. Especially on the heavier soils, the tillage windows must be optimally utilized, which requires a high area output and prompted RHEA owner Josef Kolář to enter the new tractor class. In addition, the freed-up labour can now be used in labour-intensive areas such as slurry spreading and feed production.
The first Xerion 12 Terra Trac S were delivered in spring 2025 and have already completed several hundred operating hours. “In addition to the performance, the operators particularly appreciate the large cab and the driving comfort,” summarizes RHEA owner Josef Kolář. “Thanks to the low slip of just 0 to a maximum of 1 per cent, it has also been possible to increase the output and reduce fuel consumption per hectare at the same time. The crawler track units and the resulting lower soil compaction also reduce wear on the wearing parts of the implements.”
RHEA Holding has been using Claas technology since it was founded in 2009, in addition to combine harvesters from Harsewinkel, tractors from Le Mans and Xerion large tractors for heavy and extremely heavy field work. Today, the company employs around 500 people in various business areas. In addition to crop production, agricultural services and a wide range of animal production from dairy cattle farming to fishing and fish farming, the company’s activities also include forestry and hunting activities as well as a winery and a company for the construction of agricultural buildings. The company’s own animal feed plant, which opened two years ago, produces around 90,000 tonnes of animal feed annually for its own needs.
