Spirit offers more hopper capacity

Väderstad increases the hopper capacity of its Spirit seed drills. For model year 2025, the hopper capacity of several models will be increased by over 25%, from 3900 to 5000 liters. This increases field efficiency and improves logistics.

Up till now, the larger combi models of the Spirit seed drill family, Spirit 600-900C, are fitted with a 5000 liter hopper, while several other models have a 3900 liter hopper. All Spirit seed drills over 6 meter working width, as well as the 4-meter Spirit 400C are upgraded to the 5000 liter hopper.

“The 25% volume increase enables longer time between fillings, to thereby increase the field efficiency at seeding”, says Björn Jeansson, commercial product manager for seed drills, at Väderstad.

The Väderstad Spirit pneumatic seed drill carries out levelling, seedbed preparation, reconsolidation, seeding and consolidation in one pass. It provides precision at high working speeds on the field. To achieve good seed placement in lighter to medium soils, the Spirit is equipped with double seed disc coulters.

The Väderstad Spirit 400C, Spirit 600C InLine, Spirit 600S, Spirit 800S and Spirit 900S are equipped with the new 5000-liter hopper from October 2024
