The Nexat widespan carrier vehicle is now suitable to be equipped with the Güttler Matador 1360 prism roller. Directly before sowing canola with a high-performance drill, it operated with good results, even on highly variable soil types within a field. Even the first time it was used, sowing was possible on over 300 hectares without interruption.
The Nexat holistic crop production system with a working width of 14 meters and 1100 HP output was developed for large-scale operations. The “Widespan Controlled Traffic Farming” implement carrier, turns any attachment into a self-propelled device for more performance with less effort and greater ease of use. A wide range of manufacturers have already developed suitable implements with a quick-change system and adapted them to the carrier vehicle. Thus these are able to carry out almost all field work from soil cultivation, sowing, fertilization and crop protection to harvesting. The chassis always moves in the same lanes and 95 percent of the field remains free of lanes. The Nexat features two attachment spaces: one under the main frame, in this case for the drill, and at the front in this case for the roller.
The Güttler prism roller creates the finish for tilling the soil directly before sowing. The specially shaped prism rings penetrate the soil surface and solidify the seed placement area, so that the new seeds are constantly supplied with capillary water from below. This supports the germination and rapid youth development of the plants. The capillary water is directly available to the seeds. In addition, the prism tips create fine soil into which the seeds are placed. By working with the Matador Prism Roller 1360, moisture remains in the soil and improves emergence. At the same time, the soil surface becomes coarsely crumbly so that erosion caused by wind or water can be prevented.
All soil types and grassland
The Matador prism rollers with a roller diameter of 45 / 50 cm are self-cleaning. The trailed roller is divided into several segments for optimal ground adaptation. Since the roller rings run in a row, there is no erasing or blocking when cornering. In the sandy areas of the fields, the prismatic roller functions well, thanks to its large diameter and 9 tons total weight, achieving the desired reconsolidation of the soil. In areas with clayey, heavy soils, the Matador roller shredded the soil properly.
The Güttler prism roller Matador is also suitable for grassland. Together with the harrow and seed drill, grassland can be reseeded to renew the turf. The prism roller stimulates tillering, on grassland as well as in grain.
