Early Riser opens new windows

Narrow operating windows make maximizing productivity essential during planting regardless of farm size. That’s why Case IH introduces the Early Riser 2120 planter.  New technology of this machine gains increased yield potential from uniform emergence. Moreover it gains efficiencies during planting, through seed and fertilizer carrying capacities and automatic adjustments.

The Early Riser 2120 has been designed to ensure more accurate seed spacing and depth by creating a flat bottom seed trench, while providing opening and closing systems that maximize seed to soil contact, delivering early, uniform emergence for maximized yields.

It fits the farmers’ needs with multiple row unit configurations, options for dry and liquid fertilizer, and a variety of in cab adjustments means customization at the operators’ fingertips.

The new machine makes time in field more productive through increased seed and fertilizer capacity, greater operating speeds and reduced maintenance through design.

Increased yield potential

Consistent seed spacing and depth, combined with the right seed to soil contact, delivers increased yield potential from the start, thus ensuring early and uniform emergence.

Seed and fertilizer carrying capacity keeps downtime to a minimum. Row unit and fertilizer options allow for customized experiences in the field, thanks to in-cab adjustments that make life easier for the operator.

Factory integrated precision planting technology can be customized for all soil types, terrain, fertilizer, crop protection application needs, and crop residue management practices. The machine features a fully integrated in furrow liquid fertilizer delivery system with tractor mounted tank.

Maintenance is low, thanks to an electrically driven metering system which delivers accurate and consistent seed singulation, population and in row spacing.  The flat bottom seed trench provides more consistent seed placement while improving seed to soil contact.

The new Early Riser offers a choice between a 1.9 or optional 3.0 bushel seed hopper. Tool free crop changes and adjustments enable reduced maintenance time.

Fast adaptation to changing field conditions with automatic and in-cab adjustments, include:

  • Automatic hydraulic downforce with DeltaForce
  • Speed compensated vacuum adjust
  • Floating residue managers with CleanSweep air cylinders
  • Air closing system adjust individual row shut offs for seed and fertilizer
  • Automatic curve compensated spacing

The machine will be offered in three row unit configurations, 6R30”, 8R30” and 11R15”, and will also offer seed and fertilizer capacity, including options for both liquid and dry fertilizer. Early Riser also added 11- and 15-row configurations for the 2110 rigid mounted planter to the 2024 lineup.
