Thailand’s Vocational Education Institute conferred an honorary bachelor’s degree in Crop Production to Mark Brinn, CNH Industrial Managing Director for Southeast Asia and Japan, in recognition of his leadership and commitment to advancing agricultural machinery training. Mr. Brinn is the first foreigner who has received this honorary degree.

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s representative, Mr. Kasem Watanachai presented the honorary degree to Mr. Brinn, during a regional graduation ceremony at Pathumthani Vocational Education College.

“This great honour is a testament to our CNHi team’s hard work and dedication. Nurturing the next generation of agricultural talent truly requires teamwork. Together with Thailand’s top vocational schools, we aim to continuously innovate and build capacity in agricultural machinery.” remarked Mr. Brinn.

Educated at the Cranfield Institute of Technology in the UK with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Technology and Management, Mark Brinn has over 20 years of experience with CNH Industrial. Throughout his tenure, he has assumed roles of increasing responsibility across the region, while championing innovation and agricultural talent development.

The Vocational Education Institute awards honorary degrees to outstanding individuals who showcase significant achievements, expertise, and influence within their respective vocational training fields. The Northern Institute of Vocational Education in Agriculture (NIVEA) nominated Mr. Brinn for the honorary degree, underpinning how CNH Industrial’s support strongly aligns with the objectives of the Vocational Education Board and the policies of NIVEA.

Earlier this year, CNH Industrial was honoured with the Best Contributor to Thailand’s Education Award 2023, underscoring its enduring dedication to Thai agricultural education.

“Under Mark’s leadership, collaborative efforts have uplifted teaching methodologies, broadened agricultural machinery expertise within the community, and enhanced cash crop cultivation in Thailand,” said Mr. Prachak Tasri, Director of the Northern Institute of Vocational Education in Agriculture.

The guests of honour at the graduation also include the Minister of Education, Ms. Treenuch Tienthon; the Secretary of Vocational Education, Mr. Thanu Wongjinda; Pathum Thani Province Governor, Mr. Chaiwat Chunkosum; Phatum Thani Provincial Court Chief Judge Mr. Kittpong Thongpui, and Phatum Thani Red Cross Society President, Mrs. Kullasub Chuenkosum.
