NH Brazil supports women in agribusiness

To reinforce its commitment to encourage the increase of female participation in agribusiness and in all sectors of society, New Holland Agriculture is once again present at the main event for this audience in Latin America: the National Congress of Women in Agribusiness (CNMA) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

At the center of the debates will be the main challenges of agriculture, such as environmental sustainability, under the watchful eye of women, who today are responsible for commanding almost a third of rural properties in Brazil.

“The Women in Agribusiness Congress represents for New Holland the unconditional support and appreciation of women’s capabilities in agriculture at all levels and functions, including farm management, where they show all their strength, intelligence and a keen eye for detail. As a brand that invests in innovation and wants to be close to farmers, we want to contribute to improve the debate around the challenges of agribusiness, supporting the participation and active voice of women in this process,” says Rafael Miotto, vice president New Holland Agriculture for Latin America.

New Holland Agriculture’s #ÉTEMPODEMULHER movement, initiated two years ago, has helped to give women a voice by developing actions to encourage women’s participation. The goal is to encourage and value the importance of women in the field with engagement actions, encouraging and recognizing diversity in agribusiness as an engine of innovation, especially because today women and young people are taking the lead in the field.

The National Congress of Agribusiness Women is the most important event for women in agribusiness in Latin America. It takes place annually in October, since 2016. Last year, the CNMA registered around 2,500 congress participants, with more than 50 speakers and over 50 supporting companies.
