A Case IH Austoft sugarcane harvesting parts expo, including training program was held in Thailand.  As a result, customers are prepared for a trouble free upcoming harvesting season with genuine parts and proper maintenance.

For the 58 sugar mills in Thailand, it’s vital that harvesting equipment is ready to work at full capacity during the busy sugarcane harvest period. With harvest typically taking place somewhere between October and March, depending on the season, parts and machinery must be secured by September each year to make the most of every possible harvesting hour.

Case IH recently held a special ‘Parts Expo’ for its Austoft sugarcane harvester customers in Khonkaen province in the north-eastern region of Thailand, providing them with a head start on their harvest preparations.

Around 150 guests, including sugar mill representatives and harvester owners, were invited to the expo which was hosted by Case IH in collaboration with its key dealers from the region, Auychai Tractor, Ruengchai Tractor and Chaipattana.

Expo attendees benefited from training sessions on topics such ‘Maximising harvester productivity while minimising operating costs’, ‘Preventive and post season maintenance’, and ‘The benefits of genuine parts’.

Dithapan Hurakit, Technical Support for Case IH in South East Asia, conducted some of the training sessions. “The Thai sugarcane farmers received relevant training and good knowledge for their jobs,” Mr Dithapan said.

“Attending these kinds of events every year helps them refresh their knowledge. We can tell by the level of engagement, and the types of questions they ask of the guest speakers, that our customers have a high degree of knowledge and expertise which is continuing to improve each year,” he said.

“These events are beneficial to not only owners of various new Case IH Austoft series sugarcane harvesters, but also to the farmers who are driving older models as well,” Mr Dithapan said. “They get peace of mind for their machines’ operations, plus they are getting good deals on parts and service too!”

Customers attending the event were able to take advantage of special deals on service contracts, which include labour and preventive maintenance for products after warranty to reduce worry and save costs during harvesting.

They were also able to speak with Case IH parts experts and secure parts such as harvester blades, filters and oil.
