At the start of the planting season, the Republic of Moldova hosts the spring edition of ag machinery trade fair Moldagrotech. Here, the Fendt Momentum 16 precision planter received a ‘Golden Ear’ award. The jury particularly recognized teh machine’s “Reveal” and “FurrowForce” features for optimizing planting.
Fendt distributor DiazTech in the Republic of Moldova accepted the award for the new Fendt Momentum 16 model from ZinaidaPopa, Politician and Director of Moldexpo International Exhibitions Centre. At the fair, DiazTech displayed the Fendt product range, including tractors, harvesting equipment and the Fendt Momentum precision planter. Last year, DiazTech received a Golden Ear award for a different specification of a Fendt Momentum model.
According to the jury, the Fendt Momentum 16 offers exceptional precision when planting and applying fertilizer. “In addition to the numerous technologies designed to ensure optimal planting conditions, the row ballasting system ensures uniform crop emergence and, consequently, higher and more consistent yields. Especially at a time when prices for seed and fertilizer are rising, this precision is an economic advantage for arable farms with large areas,” says Anton Kostyrko, Fendt Marketing Service Manager for Eastern Europe. “We are delighted to receive a second award for a Fendt Momentum model here in Moldova. This year’s award particularly recognized the Reveal row cleaner for removing residues and the two-stage FurrowForce closing system for optimised closure of the seed furrow.”
The Fendt Momentum planter was first launched on the European market in 2020 and is available on the Eastern European market in two models with 16 and 24 rows respectively. All models feature technologies such as the flexible frame, vSet seed metering technology, the vDrive seed metering drive and Speedtube seed tubes for particularly precise seed metering even at high speeds. In addition, depending on the specification, the award-winning FurrowForce and Reveal systems are also available.

It takes place twice a year, in spring and autumn, at the MoldExpo International Exhibition Centre in Chișinău and is organized by IEC MoldExpo in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment of the Republic of Moldova. The fair offers the largest regional platform where local and foreign manufacturers can showcase new machinery and technologies.
Moldagrotech is held twice a year and will take place again this coming autumn from 15-18 October.
