Netherlands based Mechan International acquired the majority of the shares in Busato Macchine Agricole Srl, ag machinery dealer in the Veneto region of Italy. This acquisition marks a next step in Mechan International’s strategy to expand its presence across Europe.

Founded in 1973 by Duilio Busato, Busato Macchine Agricole Srl has grown from a local dealership in the fertile lands of Castelminio di Resana to a major dealership in the provinces of Treviso, Padua, Belluno and Venice. Over the years, the company has established a reputation for its commitment to technology, quality and service, making it a trusted partner for agricultural professionals. The company is currently managed by Duilio’s sons, Tiziano and Stefano.

“Busato’s strong focus on technology, customer relationships, and global brands aligns perfectly with Mechan International’s vision to support sustainable growth and innovation in agriculture,” said Ronald Slaats, CEO of Mechan International. “This acquisition combines Busato’s regional expertise with Mechan’s global reach, creating new opportunities to thrive.”

Busato’s portfolio includes brands such as Fendt and Amazone, alongside a robust short-term rental service and advanced after-sales support. Mechan International’s investment will further enhance these offerings, ensuring continuity for Busato’s customers while introducing new resources to drive growth and modernization.

Through this acquisition, Busato will be empowered to advance its smart farming initiatives, benefiting from Mechan’s industry expertise and global reach. Plans are already in motion for a modern workshop and expanded facilities.

Tiziano and Stafano Busato commented: “By combining our local expertise with Mechan International’s global resources, we are well-positioned to support farmers in achieving greater efficiency and success.”

Tiziano and Stefano Busato will continue to lead the business, supported by Mechan International’s strategic resources.

Mechan International is already active in Italy through AgriVerde Srl, its subsidiary and authorized distributor for Massey Ferguson and Fendt in Verona and for Massey Ferguson in Rovigo and Padua. The acquisition of the shares in Busato Macchine Agricole Srl aligns with Mechan International’s strategy to deepen its presence in Italy’s agricultural market.

Mechan International is a subsidiary of Netherlands based Zweegers Equipment Group.
