Bednar launches two machines for chopping weeds and post-harvest residues. Both the Speed Chop SC F cutting roller and the Duracut TE heavy cutting roller, leave the soil in good condition for the next growing season.
The Speed Chop SC F is a double-row cutting roller with 460 mm diameter rollers. It is used for fast and efficient cutting of left crops. With a working width of 3, 4 or 6 meters, this roller even works in dense catch crops, thanks to the double-roller system and the option of mounting additional weight.
The Speed Chop SC F can be connected to the front or rear of the tractor so that it can be used alone or, for example, in combination with a Directo NO no-till seed drill or a Swifterdisc XN or XO F disc cultivator.
The frame design enables working at high speeds to achieve a high cutting effect. The cutting rollers themselves are fitted with interchangeable blades made of high-strength steel. This enables easy and quick replacement of individual blades in the case of wear or damage.
The Duracut TE is a heavy-duty cutting roller specially designed to process the toughest plant residues (e.g. after corn), to eliminate weeds. The machine is available in working widths of 7.5 and 12.5 metres. It is the ideal for large scale farms to mechanically dispose post-harvest residues.
This weight of this versatile roller can reach 1.24 tonnes per meter when filled with water (version with interchangeable blades). As a result, the Duracut TE provides optimum down pressure for better cutting performance and shallow soil cultivation, even in difficult conditions. The V-shaped positioning of the blades significantly increases the cutting effect.
Each roller (diameter 940 mm) has independent suspension to the frame. Thanks to easy adaptation to the terrain contours, this ensures uniform cultivation over the entire machine working width.
The cutting roller and the interchangeable blades, are made of HARDOX steel (the most recognized high-strength steel). The entire weight of the machine rests on the blade rollers.
The Duracut TE is equipped with two folding side frames. This lowers the number of hydraulic cylinders and lubrication points, guarantees that down pressure is kept on the side frames, while also providing compact transport dimensions (max. width 3 m, max. height 4 m). The 700/40-22.5 tires enable smooth transport.
