Väderstad completed its factory expansion in Väderstad Sweden, adding an impressive 12,600 square meters. This underscores Väderstad’s commitment to meeting growing demand and enhancing operational efficiency. By the second half of 2024, the expanded premises will be fully operational, featuring state-of-the-art assembly lines and a new paintwork station, set to achieve an annual production capacity of 10,000 machines.

Recognizing the enduring potential of agriculture and its pivotal role in the world economy, the company embarked on this expansion initiative in 2023, aligning with its long-term growth objectives. In the face of current challenges troubling the agricultural sector, declining grain prices, elevated interest rates, and heightened uncertainty due to geopolitical tensions and climate fluctuations, Väderstad remains committed in its confidence for the future.

Henrik Gilstring, CEO of Väderstad Group, asserts:  “The continued expansion of our Väderstad factory mirrors our commitment to long-term growth objectives, benefiting our valued customers, partners and facilitating job creation. Furthermore, it streamlines our production processes, ensuring greater efficiency.

With construction now concluded, efforts shift towards outfitting the expanded premises with advanced assembly lines for our Proceed and Tempo product lines, alongside a cutting-edge paintwork station, we plan to be fully operational in 2025.”

Mikael Peiponen, Senior Vice President of Order to Delivery at Väderstad, adds: “In recent years, we’ve introduced products like the Proceed Concept and Seed Hawk 600-900C, catering to European and international markets. With the expansion, we’re poised to meet burgeoning demand for these and other offerings.”

Väderstad’s facility serves as a key production hub for global markets, excluding North America, where production primarily centres on facilities in Langbank, Canada and Wahpeton, USA.

With the completion of this expansion, the Väderstad site boasts a total production area of approximately 70,000 square meters.
