GNSS high precision in orchards

Seirrowon solves several key issues confronting solution providers in the aftermarket for high precision positioning technology in agriculture.

Firstly, lengthy and expensive fixed term PPP correction contracts have been removed. Instead, the farmer will only need to pay when the solution is being used. Seirrowon’s FlatEarth service is a monthly PPP correction data subscription available to purchase directly from any device with an internet connection (eg: mobile or tablet), eliminating the need to call multiple people or use cumbersome Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions.

Secondly, obstructions typically found in orchards and fixed crop settings, such as buildings, limbs, and overhanging trees, do not significantly reduce the accuracy of the solution, due to the high precision sensor fusion GNSS receiver and the patent-pending Seirrowon antenna.

Additionally, Seirrowon’s SL Series offers plug and play integration into any retrofit agriculture equipment, as well as OEM. The SL Series has been designed to be easy to install and set up.

Jason O’Flanagan, Co-Founder and CEO, Seirrowon Labs, said, “With the introduction of our high precision SL Series of ruggedized receivers and cost effective monthly data service subscription ‘FlatEarth’, we have democratized a reliable and easy-to-use solution for those supplying the retrofit and OEM autonomous agriculture sector.”

Seirrowon Labs leverages the performance of the u-blox high precision solution, enabling Seirrowon Labs to provide flexible service plans enabling centimeter-level accuracy without the need for a base station or reference network. FlatEarth allows users to purchase monthly subscriptions directly from the web interface with a phone, tablet or any other connected device.
