Precise spreading on the headland

The Bogballe dynamic headland spreading system is designed for large working widths from 27-42 meters. It is based on the technology from the Section Control Dynamic solution, where the spread pattern adapts to field conditions in wedges and at changing tramline distances. This system is now also used for headland spreading in connection with the ”In-center” system, i.e. the same direction of rotation as with normal spreading. The advantages of this spreading principle is that the maximum overlap between the left and right spread pattern remains intact.

Today, farmers’ responsibilities towards society in terms of environmentally friendly crop production are increasing, at the same time as stricter environmental regulations are becoming ever higher. This makes it all the more important to achieve accurate and optimized edge spreading, especially with large working widths.

At the same time, the structural development in agriculture also means that the working widths are becoming larger and larger. On large working widths, it is therefore crucial that the edge spreading is at its best, as the headland area easily represents 20% of the total size of the field.
