Investment firm Apicem from the Netherlands has acquired Vredo Dodewaard, manufacturer of agricultural – and grassland machinery. With this acquisition, Apicem becomes the new shareholder and partner, supporting Vredo in its continued growth and international expansion.

With the transfer, Mr. Hans de Vree will step down from his active role within Vredo family business, but will remain available as an advisor to share his many years of experience and knowledge with the “new Vredo.”

In this way, the continuity of family values and craftsmanship is preserved, while Vredo prepares for the next stage of growth and professionalization.

Together with the existing management team and the new generation of the De Vree family, Apicem will establish a renewed management structure to lead Vredo through this new growth phase. Supported by Apicem’s capital investment and strategic guidance, the company will continue to invest in innovation, product development, international expansion, and sustainability.

“Vredo is a remarkable Dutch family business with a rich history, strong reputation, and advanced technological craftsmanship,” says Jean-Marie Wijman, Managing Partner at Apicem.

“We are truly honored to have earned the trust to move forward together with the Vredo team and the next generation of the De Vree family. Our ambition is to build upon the strong foundations laid by the De Vree family and to further position Vredo as an international market leader within its segment.”

The acquisition by Apicem marks a new chapter for Vredo, focused on continuity, innovation, and sustainable growth. In the coming months, the emphasis will be on carefully shaping the new organizational structure and strengthening Vredo’s position within the international agricultural sector.

Vredo, based in Dodewaard, the Netherlands, is an internationally recognized Dutch manufacturer of agricultural machinery, specializing in overseeders, self-propelled machines, slurry injectors, and precision technologies for the agricultural sector.

Apicem is a Dutch investment firm headquartered in Vught, focusing on sustainable growth and value creation within medium-sized industrial and technology-driven companies. Apicem helps companies achieve their next stage of development.
