While SMS, Ag Leader’s desktop data management software, has been a trusted tool, some users wanted a simpler, more mobile-friendly way to get the job done. With this update, Ag Leader delivers that. Farmers can now manage guidance lines right from their phone, making it easier than ever to stay connected across their entire operation.
Dealers are also benefiting from this tool. Previously unable to remotely access SMS for customer support, dealers can now access guidance line data for faster, more responsive service. In the cab, users save time troubleshooting issues, like lines created in the wrong direction, before they become frustrations. Users can also view and refine lines without losing data. Even organizing and reordering guidance groups is now smoother and more intuitive.
“Ag Leader users could easily import field data like boundaries, prescriptions, and variety maps, but guidance lines remain the missing piece,” said Luke James, dealer success manager. “Farmers want a simpler, more flexible way to bring in their lines with no extra steps or software hurdles. This update makes guidance line management more intuitive and mobile-friendly, helping users manage, import, and export their guidance lines, further strengthening Ag Leader’s position where data flow and usability are key.”
Four solution-based features
AgFiniti is a cloud-based platform that connects the entire operation, helping farmers make informed decisions and manage data from Ag Leader and third-party systems in one place. This recent enhancement to AgFiniti offers four key features to help farmers better manage their guidance lines.
1 Import guidance lines
- Seamlessly bring in guidance lines from Ag Leader displays
- Sync lines when your Ag Leader display is connected to AgFiniti and online
2 Visualize and compare lines
- View line type (e.g., straight, curve, etc.), creation date, heading, and associated field
- Overlay guidance lines on other maps (e.g., planting, spraying, harvest) for easy comparison and decision-making
3 Manage and organize guidance lines
- Rename, delete, and reorder lines or groups directly in AgFiniti
- Swap A and B points on existing guidance lines
- Add or remove lines from guidance groups
- Create or delete guidance groups as needed
4 Export and share lines
- Once lines are cleaned up, easily export them to Ag Leader displays
- Export as shape files for compatibility with other systems
