Evers Agro introduces the Quadro Disc umbilical combi-disc slurry injector. This allows the company’s slurry technology to be combined with the advantages of umbilical application: minimal soil compaction, higher capacity and accessibility, even on less load-bearing fields.
The new umbilical design makes the slurry injection combination lighter and more maneuverable than before. The drag hose is mounted to the main frame of the applicator. This ensures that the pulling force from the hose is transferred directly to the central frame, resulting in an optimal pulling line and preventing the hose from affecting the operation of the discs or tines. As a result, both application and distribution remain consistent, regardless of field conditions.
The pivot point is positioned close to the central frame, enabling maximum maneuverability. The umbilical arm rotates smoothly over the machine thanks to the holder design, while the free movement at the end of the pipe provides extra flexibility when turning, such as on the headland.
The two-part umbilical arm with 4″ slurry pipe is welded into a box section. This ensures that the slurry pipe remains free from pulling forces, preventing wear. The downward-sloping arm provides smooth hose guidance, while a cylinder in the arm absorbs pressure peaks, caused by height differences in hilly terrain. The large rotary table at the end reduces peak loads during headland turns.
The Quadro Disc can optionally be equipped with a flow meter that can be fully monitored via ISOBUS in the tractor terminal. Headland management and AUX-N functions are also available, ensuring fully integrated and user-friendly operation.
In addition, the umbilical arm is foldable: mechanically up to 6.5 meters working width, and hydraulically above that.
