With its new MS spreader series, Strautmann is launching MS 105 and MS 120 models. Both spreaders have been specially developed for spreading solid manure and other organic fertilizers.
The new models with loading volumes of 10.5 m³ (MS 105) and 12 m³ (MS 120) will replace the existing MS 801 to MS 1401 spreaders from 2026 onwards. They are aimed at agricultural businesses, machinery rings and contractors who, providing precise nutrient application and flexible deployment options. “The new MS spreaders offer flexible solutions for a wide range of agricultural applications without compromising on performance, durability or quality.” says Philipp Strautmann.
Even distribution
Both models are equipped with a four-rotor spreading mechanism as standard. The four vertically arranged spreading rotors ensure even distribution of the spreading material across a working width of up to 8 m. Oil bath gearboxes on each spreading rotor ensures high power transmission with low maintenance and low power requirements. For more versatile applications, a universal spreading mechanism with a slurry door is available as an option. It enables the spreading of a wide variety of organic materials, from solid manure and compost, through to lime or dry chicken manure, across a working width of up to 21 meters. Six throwing blades per spreading disc ensure optimum cross-distribution.
The universal spreading mechanism can optionally be equipped with a new cardan drive, which ensures smooth running, high power transmission and low wear. Hydraulic border spread deflectors are also available for precise work at the edge of the field.
Reduced wear
The MS 105 comes as standard with a wooden floor and four 10 mm thick round steel chains. The MS 120 comes with a durable plastic base and 13 mm thick chains. For the MS 105 this is also available on request. Large chain sprockets with six pockets reduce wear and increases the load capacity of the scraper floor. With a low overhead loading height starting at 2.05 m, the MS spreaders can be easily filled even with smaller loading vehicles. Folding attachments (250 mm high) enable maximum loading volume without increasing the overhead loading height, this increases efficiency and simplifies everyday work.
Single and tandem axles
Both models have EU type approval. Customers can choose between single and tandem axles. A self-steering axle is available as an option for the MS 120. Depending on requirements, the MS 105 can be equipped with compressed air brakes or an overrun brake with reversing mechanism. There are also options for the drawbar: Top or bottom hitch – both are possible. The maximum permissible total weights are 10 tonnes (MS 105) and 15 tonnes (MS 120).
The series is scheduled to start in the 2026 season.
