NEXAT, manufacturer of the wide-span carrier vehicle system, is expanding its organizational and strategic foundation. From the beginning of 2026, Welf von Plato will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Together with Felix Kalverkamp, who will serve as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Von Plato will form the new executive management team, responsible for the company’s ongoing development.

With this dual leadership structure, NEXAT will take the next steps toward internationalization, automation, and series production. As part of this new leadership setup, Welf von Plato will oversee the company’s global sales activities and strategic development. With his extensive international experience in ag machinery sales, he will drive global growth.

Felix Kalverkamp, founder and current managing director, will focus in his role as CTO on the technical and innovation strategy of the company, leading optimization and further development of the NEXAT system.

Klemens Kalverkamp, founder and former managing director, will continue to accompany the company as Senior Advisor and Chairman of the Board. In this role, he remains closely involved in both strategic and operational decision-making.

In addition, the long-term growth financing of the NEXAT Group has been secured by its shareholder EW GROUP, which created a solid capital foundation for NEXAT’s continued global growth.

EW GROUP is a globally active family-owned company, focused on research- and innovation-driven activities in the life sciences sector, to a large extent in the global poultry business. Its strengthened commitment ensures long-term stability, internationalization, and the consistent continuation of NEXAT’s innovation focus. “With Welf von Plato, we are gaining a leader who ideally combines management expertise with agricultural engineering experience,” says Klemens Kalverkamp.  “Together with EW GROUP, we are well positioned to continue our international growth trajectory.”
