Following expansion to the north-east part of the Netherlands, John Deere dealer Kraakman has now implemented the nationwide coverage for John Deere Ag & Turf machinery in a timely manner. “Our aim is to become the best John Deere dealer in Europe”, says CEO Bouwe van Wijk.

Earlier this year John Deere dealer GroeNoord in the Netherlands went into bankruptcy. With the integration of 11 former GroeNoord locations and the recent addition of two more outlets, Kraakman now serves customers across the entire country.

In order to further improve service and proximity in certain areas, Kraakman will look at opportunities to open additional outlets. More than 135 former GroeNoord employees have joined Kraakman, ensuring continuity of service and familiar faces for customers in the north-east region.

“Our customers now benefit from a strong nationwide network, supported by highly skilled technicians, Connected Support and deep expertise in John Deere advanced precision technology solutions”, says Bouwe van Wijk, CEO of Kraakman since last March.

“Our aim is to become the best John Deere dealer in Europe. That’s truly ambitious and demands professionalizing our entire organization, both internationally and externally. What is possible, what is not and act accordingly. All with the profitability of our customers in mind, that’s what drives us. We aim to gain 30% market share in the over 100hp segment. With our new organization and the John Deere portfolio that must be possible.”

In the new situation, Kraakman runs 28 outlets across the country. This expansion enables the company to extend its services and approach to the new territory. With advanced precision technology solutions, mobile service units, and digital support via Expert Connect, Kraakman is well positioned to deliver future ready support. “We may consider opening a central office somewhere centrally located in the country. But that should only be for administrative reasons”, according to Van Wijk.

Sebastian Höck, Dealer Development Manager from John Deere added: “Together with Kraakman we are able to resolve the difficult situation following the Groenoord bankruptcy in a highly professional manager. The result is a significantly improved situation for all customers of Kraakman and John Deere in the Netherlands. Both companies are committed to finding solutions that ensure our customer’s future success.”
