High-tech pea harvesting

Oxbo launches the GP6300, next-generation self-propelled pea harvester for the processed vegetable industry. Developed in close collaboration with contractors and processors, the GP6300 is a high-tech machine, based on a long period of field experience.

“We know how critical reliability and productivity are to harvesting operations,” said Wouter van der Meulen, Sales & Marketing Director HVC Europe and Asia at Oxbo. “Customers depend on our platform to deliver clean, high-quality peas, and the GP6300 is built to do just that, with more uptime, and long-term durability customers can count on.”

Every component of the GP6300, from the ground drive to the picking head, from the threshing system to the control system, was engineered with reliability and durability in mind. The result is a platform that combines rugged engineering with practical, field-tested design. This foundation translates directly into more uptime in the field, giving operators confidence that the GP6300 will deliver consistent performance when it matters most.

The six-wheel version of the GP6300 offers a reduced weight per wheel and improved flotation, minimizing field compaction.  As a result, the machine performs well across a wide range of conditions, even in wet or hilly terrain thanks to traction control and auto-leveling. Its optimized design ensures adaptability in challenging weather and provides a cost-effective alternative to expensive track systems.

Every pea matters

A wider infeed and enhanced cleaning provide increased output and greater crop recovery. Increased threshing pressure supports greater productivity without compromising cleaning quality.

Advanced engine technology helps lower operating costs and reduce environmental impact. Routine maintenance is simpler and faster, while major maintenance is less frequent and less costly, thus lowering total cost of ownership.

The new cab features a quiet, ergonomic design, seat suspension, and simplified control screens, reducing operator fatigue during long harvest days. The GP6300 also supports quick, safe cleaning and sanitation, ensuring safe operation from day to night and from field to field.

Smart technology integration

Technology integration is another key advantage of the GP6300. This machine supports multiple levels of technology, from JDLink and PTx Trimble-ready systems to Oxbo’s own suite of tools, including YieldTracker, FleetCommand, FieldCommand, and DirectSteer. It also provides a versatile platform for future upgrades, including side shift for greater overlap and advanced machine automation.

After extensive testing and validation, the first GP6300 machines are already working in the field. Early customer feedback confirms the targets that were set.
