Fifth generation Valtra A Series

Valtra upgrades the 5th generation A Series A105 and A115 models. The best-selling models in the A Series will now only be available with a four-speed powershift transmission (16+16R or 32+32R with creeper gear).

Four-cylinder and larger Valtra tractors will no longer be offered with a traditional gear lever. Instead, all models will feature fully electronically controlled transmission. The tractor’s efficiency has been enhanced by improving cab features, functionality, and incorporating new electronics including the Valtra Guide auto guidance system, and ISOBUS functionalities.

Key highlights

The comprehensive precision farming equipment range familiar from other Valtra models, based on satellite positioning and the easy-to-use Valtra Guide automatic steering system.

  • ISOBUS-compatible
  • Safe and easy access to the cab thanks to the aluminum steps on the lefthand side
  • 70% larger mirrors, further improved air conditioning and heating, and small details such as a dust strip above the rear window
  • Larger fuel tank (200 l), including an optional steel tank
  • Powerful dual-pump (98 l/min) hydraulics and new valves with flow control as standard
  • AGCO Power 4.4-litre engines, power ratings and exhaust gas cleaning (Stage V) remain unchanged: A105: 105 hp (78 kW) and A115: 115 hp (86 kW)
  • HiTech 4 transmission, with further improvements to gear changes in ranges A-B-C-D. AutoTraction and P position controlled by the direction lever are of course still standard features.
  • Factory-fitted (2.5 t) front linkage, with either mechanical or electronic control, with or without front loader.
  • Many possibilities for further improving work efficiency and comfort with Valtra UNLIMITED.

The updated A Series’ cab offers safer, self-cleaning, and corrosion resistant aluminium steps. The driver’s seat is easy to access via the new inclined steps and the steering wheel easily tilts away by a simple pedal action.

Hot and cold climates

The Nordic tractor brand prides itself with serving customers in both hot and cold climates. Timo Mattila, Product Specialist, Valtra EME emphasizes the importance of the A Series’ versatility, “Improvements to the heating and air conditioning not only make the driver more comfortable, but also improve safety, as the windows remain clear even in changing conditions around freezing point.” The A Series has an optional second heater for the footwell, and the air conditioning system located in the roof has an updated filtration system. Visibility is also improved with all-LED work lights as well as the 70% larger reversing side mirrors.

Precision farming no longer depends on tractor size. For more accurate and sustainable farming the A105 and A115 models are now available with the  SmartTouch Extend second screen and full Valtra Guide autoguidance system at up to centre accuracy. These features will be familiar to farmers and vegetable growers who have experience with Valtra’s larger models, including the G Series. The new smart technology brings ISOBUS capabilities and the full range of Valtra’s easy-to-use smart farming features for demanding implements, and Valtra Connect remote monitoring is available.

Powerful hydraulics

Valtra’s Unlimited Studio offers a full customization service for the updated 5th generation A105 and A115 models. Timo Mattila explains “The A Series’ powerful hydraulics are at their most effective with an electronically controlled front loader. Valtra Unlimited can also bring the same ease of use to front lift equipment and implements – as well as row crop wheels and much more.

For tractors below 100 hp the A Series’ three-cylinder GL models offer similar cab comfort and efficiency but with a more straightforward, cost-effective portfolio. Models over 100 hp with mechanical “gear lever transmissions” will be discontinued.
