Through the workgroup function, farms and contractors will be able to work in joint working groups via the FendtONE driver’s workstation on several machines in the same field. Within these independently operating groups, field data can be exchanged among different machines, including:
- Field boundaries
- Waylines
- Areas worked and obstacles
- Current position data
When drilling with two identical teams for example, the already drilled area can be viewed by both drivers and used by the machines to control their Section Control.
Overlaps are reduced and the cooperation between the two teams is significantly improved in poor visibility conditions and tight working time windows. This also applies to activities that take place consecutively, such as raking and baling in grassland or the classic harvest chains in arable farming.
If some machines subsequently join the working group, the information collected so far can be transmitted to it, so that all participants are working with a uniform level of information.
Coverage guidance extends Contour Assistant
The Fendt Contour Assistant wayline option with the addition of the “Coverage guidance”, adapts to the driver. Its simple operation is useful for less experienced operators. If the driver activates the “Coverage guidance” function and manually drives a first line on the field with a three-point implement, the system calculates the next coverage guidance by orienting itself to the area already worked.
In addition, two ISOBUS-capable implements can be operated simultaneously and independently from each other at the FendtONE driver’s workstation. This is particularly important when combining two work steps in a team, such as the combination of fertilisation and sowing with one implement in the front and one in the rear.
In regions with poor network coverage, telemetry data can often not be transmitted directly from the field. With the new “WiFi Connector”, telemetry data is updated later.
For this purpose, the tractor is included as a client in a WLAN network. As soon as the machine reaches the farm’s own WLAN, the data is automatically transferred. The farm manager can read out this data afterwards and use it, for example, to analyse the machine utilisation or to plan the following day. In addition, dealers can access the recorded machine data for diagnostic purposes and shorten the downtime for repair. The “WiFi Connect” is set up via the Fendt Connect app. The function is currently available only for Brazil, and from November 2025 the function will be available globally.
FendtONE offboard available in Europe
A “FendtONE offboard” account can be created via the Fendt.ONE homepage. FendtONE offboard is already available in Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland and Slovenia.
While sowing, waylines are created for the subsequent process steps. FendtONE offboard visualises these waylines and send them directly to the tractor terminal for other tasks. This function facilitates the location of waylines in the field for pre-run applications. The waylines are imported directly from the machine into FendtONE offboard with the task report of the sowing.
Frequent turning manoeuvres ensure time delay and higher soil compaction at the headland. The “wayline generator” for FendtONE offboard provides optimum waylines with minimal turning processes which are calculated based on field boundaries. This saves resources and serves to protect the soil.
Easy data conversion of mixed fleets
Numerous farms use mixed fleets and various solutions for guidance systems. The suppliers and agricultural manufacturers present field boundaries and waylines in various data formats. With the field data converter, the different field data formats can be uploaded to FendtONE offboard and converted to a desired target format. Field data from different sources can thus be used for the entire mixed fleet.
In addition to importing field boundaries of different formats, field boundaries for new fields can now also be recorded using the “Teach-in” in FendtONE offboard. Also, field boundaries can be moved quickly and easily, for example for a flowering strip. Alternatively, this function can also be used in vegetable cultivation to divide fields for the cultivation of various types of lettuce or cabbage on one area.
FendtONE offboard shows GPS positions of the machines of the last 24 hours in addition to the live position. This allows machine movements to be tracked for longer. FendtONE uses the telemetry data of the machine and visualises working times and downtimes in different colours. This means that the productive times of the machine are visible quickly.
