AXEMA, trade association for the ag machinery industry in France, appointed Delphine Guey as its new Director General. She will succeed Laurent De Buyer, who will step down in early 2026 after four years in this role and more than 20 years of service to the agricultural equipment sector.
Delphine Guey’s mission at AXEMA will be to build upon the work initiated by Laurent De Buyer, including the launch of AgriSIMA in 2026, and the ongoing enhancement of AXEMA’s performance to support its members through the ongoing transitions facing the agricultural machinery sector.
Aged 51, Delphine Guey holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Biotechnology and Plant Production from Paris 7 University, as well as an MBA in Strategic Management and Economic Intelligence from ESLSCA Business School.
She began her career as an Advertising Manager at Edito agency in Lille, working closely with endive producers. She then held various positions including Communications Engineer, International Development Officer, Head of Communications for the Green Biotechnologies Initiatives (IBV) platform, and Deputy Director of External Relations in charge of Public Affairs and Press Relations at the National Interprofessional Group for Seeds and Plants (GNIS, now known as SEMAE), where she worked for 17 years.
In 2017, she joined the Union of the Plant Protection Industry (UIPP, now Phyteis) as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. Among her achievements was the launch in 2018 of the concept “Le Siècle Vert” (The Green Century), a civic initiative aimed at engaging public dialogue and debate on the topic of pesticides with both the general public and opinion leaders.
In 2019, Delphine Guey joined Philip Morris France as Senior Manager for Institutional Affairs, contributing to the company’s transformation through the promotion of reduced-risk products developed by its R&D.
Since 2021, she has served as Director of Communications, Public Affairs and Societal Engagement at the French subsidiary of Yara, a global leader in mineral fertilizers. In 2022, she was elected President of the Union of Fertilizer Industries (UNIFA) for a three-year term.
