Acoustic comfort according to BKT

BKT Tires focuses on combining high performance and silent operation, featuring the patterns of its Agrimax V-Flecto and Ridemax IT 697. These two tires are designed to reduce environmental noise and protect the driver’s acoustic well-being.

Industry professionals have confirmed that road operations become more efficient and sustainable when noise is reduced. A quieter environment does not necessarily mean a loss in performance or productivity. On the contrary, innovation testifies to a growing commitment towards next-generation tractors equipped with increasingly better soundproof cabs.

In this context, tires play a fundamental role. Today, these are not only designed to ensure high performance, but also to enhance operator acoustic comfort and reduce noise pollution in rural and landscape areas.

This is where BKT comes into play. The two tire patterns, Agrimax V-Flecto and Ridemax IT 697 are the company’s solutions specifically developed to ensure low noise emissions, improve operator well-being, and limit the environmental impact.

The perceived noise largely derives from vibrations, due to the interaction between the tire tread and the road surface. These vibrations, mainly generated by the rear tires, manifest at a frequency of approximately 100 Hertz, triggering a resonance phenomenon inside the cab that amplifies the perceived noise, especially when driving at sustained speeds.

Tires, being the only point of contact between the vehicle and the asphalt, play a crucial role in noise containment and improving the overall operating experience.

“Both BKT’s  Agrimax V-Flecto and Ridemax 697 significantly reduce noise, even though it is still important to make an overall assessment that considers the type of road operation, the vehicle used, and the intensity of the operations”, comments Piero Torassa, Field Engineering Director, BKT Europe.

It is from the combination of these factors that these tires contribute to improved operator comfort, reducing fatigue and enhancing driving pleasure and attention, especially in contexts involving long journeys, as it is the case in liquid manure transport, for example.
