The Khon Kaen Higher Vocational College of Agricultural and Industrial Technology in Thailand opened its Innovative Learning Center with equipment and tools contributed by CNH Thailand. Thus, with co-investment of Mitr-Phol Group, future farmers in Thailand will get access to modern ag technology.

At the launch of the Learning Center, Mark Brinn, Managing Director of Southeast Asia and Japan at CNH, underscored the importance of strategic collaboration between private sector and learning institutions.

“At CNH, our focus is on how we can better support the broader agriculture industry and deepen integration of technology to enhance learning. By bringing advanced machinery to the college, students can both enhance their understanding of precision technology and gain hands on experience with solutions such as auto guidance and telematics,” said Brinn.

“The Innovative Learning Center aims to develop the knowledge and skills of vocational education personnel, preparing them to enter the agricultural industry. This is achieved by focusing on foundational knowledge and transferring appropriate and easily accessible technology through hands-on learning. This will help elevate the competency of the workforce, equipping them with the knowledge and expertise to use technology for the agricultural industry, which will drive the future development of Thailand’s agricultural sector,” Isara Vongkusolkit, Honorary Chairman of Mitr Phol group added.

Mitr Phol Group’s investment has led to an improved learning environment, including classrooms, learning systems, and additional facilities, to create a comprehensive learning space. They established the Innovative Learning Center to promote lifelong learning, offering opportunities for teachers, students, and everyone in the community to learn independently. This transforms the college into an ‘open college’.

The Innovative Learning Center is the latest milestone in the CNH, Khon Kaen College, and Mitr Phol Group agreement, which has seen the three parties work closely together over the past three years to drive innovation and progress in agriculture education.

In addition to an Austoft 4000 sugarcane harvester which was donated to Khon Kaen College in 2023 for training purposes, CNH has contributed over 100 workshop tools and pieces of equipment, including precision measuring instruments, diagnostic tools, and industrial workstations. Internship programs are also available to students from Khon Kaen College and other agriculture-focused schools at CNH facilities in Thailand.
